You know that [MOVIE] when “Character A” meets “Character B” and [ROMANTIC MOMENT] happens? That’s not what happened to us.

But we do love the circumstances through which we met (Kevin dressed as a baseball umpire, Lyndsey as Angelica from the ‘Rugrats’…). We met through mutual friends on Halloween during our final year at Mizzou. Although it took Kevin a solid four months of persistence to get Lyndsey to go out with him. Ultimately, she agreed and Kevin took her to an impressive Columbia restaurant, where Lyndsey ordered… a grilled cheese. Thankfully, Kevin remained undeterred and we spent the rest of college growing our relationship.

After graduation, new careers took us to different cities – Lyndsey back to her hometown in Chicagoland and Kevin remaining in Columbia, MO (he is originally from Dallas-Fort Worth) – but we knew we wanted to make things work. Enter…THE ROAD. Every two weeks or so, Kevin would make the 6-hour drive to visit Lyndsey. After two very long years spent long distance (and nearly 625 total hours of travel!), Kevin moved to Chicago so they could be together more often.

Fast forward one-year and many fun experiences later, Kevin proposed to Lyndsey in July of 2015 on her quaint, ivy-filled porch. She was completely shocked, though she stammered out a happy “YES!” So, here we are! We can’t wait to marry each other and celebrate with you!
