DAVID STROOPE
David is my Best Man and younger brother. Without question, David is his own man. But, in many ways, he has reminded me of myself as he’s grown. As kids, we both enjoyed baseball and football (and we both suffered through running track). When I went to college, David had the pleasure of taking my childhood bedroom for his own. When David went to college, I had the pleasure of welcoming him to Mizzou and the town of Columbia, Missouri. After spending 5 years in Missouri on my own, it was incredibly fun to have a family member around. Our overlapping two years in Missouri saw some great moments, including: spending snowy nights in with endless Shakespeare’s pizza, hitting up the driving range with Trops on hot summer days, and living together once again during my last summer in Columbia. We’ve managed to carry that fun up to Chicago when David visits, or we relive it all when I visit Columbia.
David is the true definition of a brother, and I’m thrilled he’ll be up there as my main dude.
He currently attends the University of Missouri. David is working toward his degree in business marketing and will graduate in December 2016.

ERIC STROOPE
I’ve known Eric since 1990 – we go way back. We grew up as inseparable brothers that shared rooms, played on the same soccer/baseball teams, and jumped on and off the school bus together for years. And as we grew, Eric helped co-pilot the “older brother responsibilities” that came with being a part of a 6-kid family. Even during our college years, which sent us in different geographical directions, some of my favorite moments came from my visits to College Station, and his to Columbia. The point is, Eric is my younger brother, but I couldn’t tell you the last time I felt like he was “younger” than me. I look up to him on so many levels. Eric is flat out smart and excels at nearly everything I struggle with (long distance running, smooth golf swings, finance) or flat out fail (music). And that all adds up to just a fraction of why he is one of the most dedicated, compassionate, hard-working guys I’ll ever know.
He’s been with me every step of the way in life, and I can’t wait for him to be a part this moment with us.
Eric is a proud Texas A&M graduate and currently works for Fidelity. He lives in Grapevine, Texas, with his wife Ashley (shout out to my new sis!), who he married in June of 2015.

BRIAN STROOPE
Brian is my youngest brother, but don’t let his place in the birth order (#5) fool you – this guy is sharp and knows his stuff. I can’t actually prove this, but believe me when I say that by the time Brian was 13, he had probably read more books than I will before I’m 40. Furthermore, he is probably the most chill dude you can ever be around. “Kicking back and relaxing with Brian” should be a medical prescription. When we visit the Alabama beaches as a family, I can rely on him to help break out the skimboards – and then, in classic student-becomes-the-teacher fashion, proceed to make me look like the complete amateur I am. Brian also has a talent for music and a natural golf swing that I can only dream of. He brings his cool and calm demeanor each and every day. So I know that whenever anything gets too big for me, Brian will help bring it all back down into perspective.
He is one of my favorite and most trustworthy guys, and I am excited to have him stand at our wedding.
Brian is 17 years old and will be a be a junior at Southlake Carroll Senior High School. He is a skilled percussionist and works with the video team at White’s Chapel UMC.

KEVIN SLAWKOWSKI
Kevin is Lyndsey's younger brother. (Confusing, I understand. Just remember, I’m the soon-to-be husband, Kevin. He is the brother, Kevin.) Upon meeting, Lyndsey and I quickly bonded over love for our families and it became clear that she is a proud sister – for good reason. After getting to know Kevin, he is incredibly talented and is simply one of the best guys around. I couldn’t have asked for Lyndsey to have a more welcoming sibling. Over the past four years, we’ve enjoyed watching him play football for the Illinois Wesleyan Titans – while also attending the famous Slawkowski Family Tailgates. For stories of these glory days and more, I’m telling you, find Kevin. I guarantee you that he’ll retell any epic memory better than ‘85 Bears could Super Bowl Shuffle. Also, it should be noted that between him and Emalee, I’m not sure y'all are ready for the moves you'll see on the dance floor!
Kevin is a truly genuine, stand-up guy, and I’m very lucky to be gaining him as a brother.
He is currently finishing up his senior year at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. Kevin will start his risk management career with Marsh after his May 2016 graduation.

SEAN LEAHY
Despite us both attending Mizzou’s J-School at the same time, Sean and I didn’t meet until post-graduation through a mutual friend. Yep, Lyndsey was the mutual friend. When I moved, Sean helped welcome me to Chicago and quickly became a good friend of mine. In a city full of Cubs fans, I have yet to meet one that bleeds a deeper shade of Cubs blue than Sean Leahy. And on a broader scale, he really is a walking baseball encyclopedia – it’s quite impressive. The Cubs should make him a paid ambassador to those attending their first game at Wrigley. On the night that I proposed to Lyndsey, Sean was more than happy to help me pull off the moment by setting the stage while Lyndsey and I were at dinner. I was full of nerves that day, and Sean helped see me through it like a champ. He also represents a great group of guys that have made me feel at home in Chicago – Jack, Pat, Dan, and Tony.
Sean is a true friend and I’m honored to have him stand as one of my groomsmen this September.
He is a dedicated brother to four younger siblings and currently works at TicketEScore.com.

TAYLOR PERKINS
Taylor is my best friend from college and now, Maid of Honor! We met as random roommates during our freshman year at Mizzou (talk about good luck!) and spent the next four years making so many of my favorite memories and only the best amount of trouble - tailgating and cheering on our Tigers at football games, sharing the cutest townhouse on the block, coordinating Halloween costumes, a fun-filled Spring Break trip to New York City during our senior year... Trust me, the list goes on and on. Just ask any of our friends, and they'll tell you we were "an inseparable pair!"
Funny story... Kevin REALLY wanted to take me out for Valentine's Day shortly after we met, but I chose a movie date with Taylor instead to see The Vow (and yes, we definitely snuck a bottle of wine into the movie theater).
Taylor currently works as an accountant for KPMG and lives in Chicago -- something I'm seriously thankful for during the crazy time that is wedding planning!

EMALEE DAISY
Emalee is one of my best friends – and by far my oldest, having now known each other for 20 years! We met when we were 5 years old while cleaning up the play kitchen in our kindergarten classroom. Throwback Thursday (#TBT) takes on a life of its own for us. There has been so much laughter brought to our lives from reliving old memories – from the most ridiculous signs on our bunk beds at Girl Scout camp, to wearing American flag unitards (yes, unitards...) as we flipped our way through the 3rd grade talent show, to solo acts in the Christmas Show as a chipmunk-sounding Angel and many, MANY more.
Emalee is also my fellow sports gal, and it’s become an annual tradition to attend the Bears/Packers game together with our families (who, at this point, are basically a second set of parents/siblings). I think I speak for all of us when I say we feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful friendship that stands the test of time.
Emalee currently works for NBC in Chicago - and you can all count on her to be the life of the party at our wedding!

KARA HERNANDEZ
If I were as clever as Kara, I'd write her bio as a funny poem -- but there's no way I could come close to the ones she writes, so I'm not even going to try! Kara is my first cousin, but is very much like a sister to me in our close family. We're all so lucky to have someone like her keeping us all together. She's the first one to remind us of all of our favorite traditions growing up, start a family sing-along (except she's usually the one only one who actually knows all the words) or get everyone together for a game night. And, she always comes up with fun ideas for our next Girls' Day, my favorite new tradition (seriously, my abs are sore for a week from laughing so hard during our sleepovers)!
Sharing a love of softball, I can remember teaching Kara how to bat when she was just 5 years old. If there's one thing that makes me feel older than getting married, it's her heading off to college! She will be graduating from Lincoln-Way East High School in early June, then heading off to Ball State University in the fall to study digital media.

KRISTEN STROOPE
Kristen is Kevin's younger sister. When I first met her, I remember thinking she was a shy and sweet girl. Sweet, yes…shy, absolutely not! Once I saw her teaching her helpless brothers how to dance and teasing her dad, I quickly realized she’s one of the goofiest people I know. I’ve loved getting to hang out with her more during Stroope family beach vacations – from girls’ shopping days to sharing books to showing me how to catch a crab!
Kristen loves to have fun, but she is also incredibly hard-working. She just recently completed her first 5K race – and I’m trying to match her willpower when it comes to nutrition and fitness as the wedding quickly approaches (Kevin tells me we both frequently push avocado toast upon him)! I was able to see Kristen dance in her final year on Belles while taking in the grandiose experience that is Texas high school football. She is so talented, and I really enjoy seeing all of the pictures she posts as she continues her love for dance within her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. Kristen is currently a freshman at the University of Oklahoma, where she is considering a degree in nursing.

SARA STROOPE
Sara is Kevin's sister, the youngest of the Stroope family – and probably most similar to me in personality. She is very bright, outgoing and what I would call a “firecracker” in the best way possible (not to mention, she’s my fellow cat lover). Between the two of us, Kevin believes he’s had all the sass he can handle :)
I’m always excited to see Sara because she gives me a warm welcome every time. She is such a gracious host when I visit Texas, sharing her room for the weekend and often leaving welcome notes on the bed ("Sara's Suite" receives a 10 out of 10 review from me!). We love to challenge each other – whether that’s in mini golf or testing each other’s linguistic skills in the sand. Beach trips have allowed me to share a little Chicago flavor with Sara, too – and after our night on dinner duty, her fandom has lead to many Snapchats of her own take on Chicago-style hot dogs.
She is currently in 8th grade and will be starting high school at Southlake Carroll in the fall.
